Artist Statement
Textiles have been part of my life for a long time, from dressing my dolls as a child to having a small weaving business in the eighties and now art quilting. I have finally found what I want to do when I grow up. The texture, the colours, the hand of the fabric are all part of what I love about making this art.
Hand dyeing, painting, any way to get colour on the cloth, embellishments, hand beading, machine free motion are the tools I use for my designs. Creating coloured textiles whether it be cotton, linen,silk or any substrate is a facinating process.
